One thing I learned from watching 'Lucy' is that when you recruit smug-druggling mules, you sew the shipment of chemicalsinside each courier's abdominal cavity to prevent them going free-lance.
Not everyone follows this simple precaution and now the level of drama in the GcMAF business is becoming unreasonable:*

[M.] was supposed to pick up a stock of 1000 bottles of the supplement and personally take it to a clinic in England. She went to the airport in Germany, got on the plane, not problems with customs whatsoever. There was another person with her who dropped her at the airport and she said that [M.] got on the plane and there was no problem with Customs in Germany. Well, [M.] never made it to the England clinic with the 1000 bottles of GcMAF. She told them and the company that Customs confiscated all of them. When in reality, she stole them and is using them with her "new" .eu website, to sell them to patients.

This is what happens when you let Le Carre or Len Deighton write the script. The plot gets out of hand. Betrayal follows betrayal in epicyclic wheels-within-wheels, until you lose track of who's quintruple-crossing whom, who's an agent for Big Pharma and who's part of the Alt-Health Insurgency (but they're all in cahoots anyway). I cannot find Cahoots on the map but it appears to be a popular weekend destination.

That sort of thing would never happen at the Riddled Export-Import Bureau where we are, after all, professionals.

Lesley defends Trevor (although they are estranged), limning him as the well-meaning but credulous victim of Machiavellian skullduggery from Amanda and Doug who have played him as a dupe. Doug defends Amanda (although they are estranged), limning her as the well-meaning but credulous victim of Machiavellian dullskuggery from Trevor and Kerri. Anonymous informants leak anonymous stories. It is like a Jacobean revenge tragedy, from before the invention of spelling.

Personally I suspect that after a hard day's work blogging and e-mailing and Skyping, blaming one another for the non-delivery of paid-for snake-oil, they all sit around a cafe table in Cahoots Sofia and have a good laugh together.
